On February 21, 2025, Mr. Gallant’s grade 4/5 class will be participating in a Rock-a-thon in the Queen Elizabeth School gymnasium. The students will rock on rocking chairs for a total of ten consecutive hours (from 2:00 pm to 12:00 am). Each student from the class has a sponsor sheet to collect pledges. All funds raised will be immediately donated to the family of Maddie Ryland, a four-year-old girl from Salisbury, who suffers from epilepsy and other health issues that doctors are attempting to solve. Her young family includes a single mother and three children and they currently make regular trips to the IWK Hospital. The class is very eager to make a significant monetary contribution to help her family with some of their immediate needs. Should you wish to make a donation, please contact Mr. Gallant at our school by phone (506-856-3447) or by email claude.gallant@nbed.nb.ca

The Grade 8’s will be selling CANDYGRAMS for Valentine’s Day again this year! This fundraiser is to support the Grade 8’s end of year graduation activities.
The sale will begin on Monday, February 10th and continue until Thursday, February 13th. Items will be for sale during lunch time between 11:35 and 12:20pm (Monday 10th, Tuesday 11th, Wednesday 12th , and Thursday 13th). All CANDYGRAMS purchased will be kept and then delivered to the recipients on Valentine’s Day, Friday, February 14th.
A “menu” of items and their cost will be sent to classes and in an email the week before to give students a chance to see what is available, so they are prepared when they come to purchase.
The Grade 8 Team thanks you for your support!
